Ice recrystallization inhibition activity of FfIBP and FfIBP_CC1. (a) Morphology of growing ice crystals after incubation for 30 min. BSA protein (10 µM) was used as the negative control for the IRI assay. FfIBP and FfIBP_CC1 samples were measured at four different concentrations. (b) The graph of the concentration-dependent IRI activity of FfIBP and FfIBP_CC1. To determine the mean grain size (MGS) at each protein concentration, at least 30 of the largest ice grains were measured and then divided by the average size of crystals in solution without IBP.
