Assessment of ice recrystallization inhibition (IRI) activity in the presence of CPAs. (a) FfIBP and FfIBP_CC1 samples were measured at concentrations of 0.4 µM or 4 µM in 10% DMSO after 30 min of incubation at − 8 °C, with 10% DMSO used as the negative control. Commercial cryoprotectants Gibco™ Synth-a-Freeze™ Cryopreservation Medium (b) and CellBanker 1(c) were also evaluated for measuring IRI activity. Scale bars, 20 μm.
