Luteolin inhibits autophagy-related mRNA expression. Luteolin decreases the Bnip3 (Mitophagy receptor) and UVRAG (mTORC1 downstream target) mRNA expression and increases p62 (Autophagy substrate) mRNA expression. HT-22 cells were pre-treated with luteolin at 25 µM for 24 h, followed by 5 mM glutamate for 12 h.
