Inhibitory activity observed across bacterial species. Escherichia coli BW25113 was streaked in a grid pattern and incubated for 24Â h. Spotted inoculants, including multi-drug resistant clinical isolates, were added in-between E. coli streaks, incubated, and imaged for an additional 5Â days with the streaked grid, or onto a plate with no grid streaked, as a control. Growth of all bacteria spotted onto the preincubated E. coli grid plate was inhibited to varying degrees.
