From: Attosecond and nano-Coulomb electron bunches via the Zero Vector Potential mechanism
The mean electron bunch energies parameter scan. The energies are extracted from 2D3V Particle-In-Cell (PIC) simulations. On average 8 electron bunches are formed in each simulation, each with a unique \(a_0\) due to the Gaussian temporal envelop of the laser pulse. The bunch described in more detail in Fig. 1 is highlighted. The majority of the data points are in the range \(0.25< S < 200\) and the transitions in \(a_0\) from non-relativistic through to the QED regime are captured.
