MRI visual assessment for enlarged perivascular spaces (ePVS) in two patients suffering from chronic adult hydrocephalus. ePVSs are seen on axial T2-weighted MRI, obtained at the level of the periventricular parenchyma, 20 mm above the anterior commissure, as linear-, ovoid- or round-shaped hyperintensities. The image on the left shows more than 11 ePVS (high ePVS burden), while the image on the right shows 10 or less ePVS (low ePVS burden).
