mRNA expression of inflammatory cytokines. mRNA levels were measured by qRT-PCR. IL-1β, TNFα, and complement protein C3 (encode inflammatory cytokines) were significantly higher at 8 days (a–c), whereas IL-12A, IL-12B and IFNγ mRNAs were increased at 3 months post-injury (d–f).
