Procedure of left hemihepatectomy combined with caudate lobe resection. (A) Dissect the middle hepatic artery. (B) Dissect the left hepatic artery. (C) Ligate and dissect the left portal vein. (D) Separate the caudate lobe from the anterior of the inferior vena cava by processing the short hepatic vein. (E) Determine the liver section by relying on the ischemic boundary and intraoperative ultrasound positioning of the middle hepatic vein.
