Examples of unmodified automatic image alignment—(a) correct position and orientation of image axis, with rest study needing only minor correction of the positioning of the last slice limit (valve plane, correct position marked with white arrow); (b) incorrect automatic image orientation that requires major manual adjustments. Note a complete lack of radiopharmaceutical uptake in inferior wall (post-infarction scar) combined with spots of relatively high blood pool activity in liver and intestines.
