  1. Values are expressed as the median (Q1–Q3, Q: quartile) for faecal organic acid concentrations. Comparison between the healthy (H) and disease (D) groups was performed using the Mann–Whitney U test. Subgroup analysis was performed using the Kruskal–Wallis test followed by post hoc multiple comparisons using Dunn’s test with Bonferroni adjustment.
