Diagram of the modeling approach. Starting from the bottom, the main quantities used to calculate the variables at the higher level (SLRR, WNDS, DLRH, WFP, PORO, MECH, HRDN) are schematically represented. The inferences between the variables, determined by IF/THEN rules, allow for the calculation of outputs at the next level (SATS, SALT, LITE). Finally, the calculated outputs (SATS, SALT, LITE) become the variables that, through new inferences, allow for the calculation of CRISmod.
