Map of the study area, the Baltic Sea, includes subbasin: the Bothnian Bay (BoB), the Bothnian Sea (BoS), the Gulf of Finland (GoF), the Gulf of Riga (GoR), the Northern Baltic Proper (NBP), the Southern Baltic Proper (SBP), the Kattegat basin (KAT), and the entire Baltic Sea (BAL). The colour scale shows the depth according to the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO)45 and the final map were generated using MATLAB r2022b programming platform46.
