Survival curves of mice intraperitoneally infected with 1 × 10⁷ CFU of the tested isolates. Hypervirulent K. pneumoniae NTHU-K2044, classic K. pneumoniae ATCC700603 and PBS were used as controls. There was no significant survival difference between mice infected with NTHU-K2044 and those infected with the five isolates in this study, while there was significant difference in survival rate of the mice infected with ATCC700603 and those infected with the five isolates in this study.
