(B) The direct cytotoxicity (%) is determined with the following formula: \(\:cytotoxicity\text{\%}=\:\frac{{LDH\:activity}_{treated}-{LDH\:activity}_{spontaneous}}{{LDH\:activity}_{maximum}-{LDH\:activity}_{spontaneous}}\:\text{x}\:100\) and was compared to the DMSO control. The data are presented as mean values ± standard deviation (SD) (n = 3). One-way ANOVA test followed by Fisher’s LSD post hoc test was used and the levels of significance are shown as x - p < 0.05.
