  1. Group 1 represents subjects with an annual family income < 90,000 INR, Group 2 represents subjects with family income between 90,000 and 2 lakh INR, and Group 3 represents subjects with family income greater than 2 lakh INR. The groups were chosen based on a criterion mentioned in a previous study77. All sociodemographic information was measured from the subjects using a supplementary questionnaire along with the HLQ. The response to independent variables, health insurance, prescription medication, on-campus gym, and chronic illness, consists of binary responses about the respective variables’ usage, preference, or presence. The field of study indicated whether the student’s choice of major belongs to the sciences or a non-science discipline, while the year of study included information about their current year of enrollment. Food preference indicates whether the subjects adhered to one of the following food choices: veg (vegetarian)/vegan or non-veg (non-vegetarian).
