From: CytoBead ANA 2 assay - a novel method for the detection of antinuclear antibodies

Illustration of the slide well used for determination of autoantibodies to dense-fine speckled 70 kDa antigen (DFS70). HEp-2 cells are located in the middle compartment. DFS-70 (lens-derived growth factor)-coated beads (15 μm − 2) are localized in the left compartment together with size and location reference (SLR) beads (13 μm − 1). SLR beads always show a uniform green fluorescence, which is due to polymerization of the fluorescent dye with the microbead substance.
