Table 1 Experiment overview. Rumen fluid batches were collected weekly, shipped overnight and stored on ice before being subdivided for the individual experiments. Two types of experiments were performed: compound tracing (T); and dose-response (D). Single inhibitors were added to each experiment: bromoform (BF), dibromomethane (DBM), bromomethane (BM) and Asparagopsis taxiformis (A. Tax).
