Cytokine gene expression profile in intestinal DCs. (A) The experimental design of intragastric (i.g.) administration and cytokine gene expression profiling. The WT mice received i.g. administration of saline or HK-C60 every day for 14 days (n = 6 in each group). CD11c+ DCs were isolated from small intestinal PPs by using magnetic beads. The total RNA was isolated from DCs and subjected to real-time PCR. (B) Cytokine gene expressions in intestinal DCs. The gene expressions were classified to four clusters (green, yellow, orange and red) following the p-value and fold change (FC) calculated by 2-∆∆Ct method obtained by two independent experiments. Student t-test was used to analyze the data for significant differences. Values of p < 0.05 was regarded as significant.
