Na and K

Na and k were determined by digesting 1 g of each sample with nitric and hydrochloric acid according to (AOAC 969.23)

Ca, P, Mg, Zn, Mn, and Cu

These minerals were analyzed by digesting 0.5 g of each sample with nitic and HCl acid through microwave digestor for 1 h as per (AOAC 2015.01)

Dry matter

Dry matter determination was performed by taking 5 g of each sample to the oven adjusted at 105° C for 3 h (AOAC 922.06).

Crude protein

Crude protein was determined through Kjeldahl method by digesting 0.5 g of each sample with sulfuric acid, and Kjeldahl tablet for 1 h [30].

Crude fiber

This parameter was obtained through digesting 2 g of each sample with 1.25% sodium hydroxide and 1.25% of sulfuric acid for 30 min (AOAC 962.09).

Ash

Ash content was performed by taking 2 g of each dried sample to the muffle furnace adjusted at 600° C for 2 h (AOAC 942.05).

Total digestible nutrients

This parameter was determined based on the fat, protein, crude fiber, and non-volatile ether extract [31].

Tannins and fat

Tannins and fat contents were performed according to [18].

Total flavonoids

Flavonoids contents were assessed according to [32].
