A random sample of mutants (n > 20) from the results presented in Fig. 2 were sequenced with primers upstream of the lacZ mutation-reporter gene and analyzed via Nucleotide BLAST. Data points are presented on violin plots with the median and quartiles, n > 3 mice, statistical significance determined using one-way ANOVA followed by Sidak’s multiple comparisons *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001.
