Antiviral activity of ebselen against various RNA viruses. The imHC cells were infected with DENV-2 (A) or ZIKV (B) at an MOI of 1. Vero cells were infected with CHIKV (C), EV71 (D), or IAV (E) at MOIs of 0.0025, 0.02, and 1, respectively. Following viral adsorption, the cells were maintained in media containing various concentrations of ebselen. Virus supernatants were collected, followed by viral titer determination. The percent inhibition was calculated relative to the virus titer of the infected untreated control. Each experiment was performed in triplicate.
