Two cases with intraretinal microvascular abnormalities in which the severity of diabetic retinopathy in the original image was greater than the enhanced image. Comparing the original and enhanced images for intraretinal microvascular abnormalities (IRMAs), the image processing enhanced the weak IRMAs and reduced the difference from normal retinal vessels. This processing may have affected the judgment of whether it was an IRMA or normal intraretinal vessels. The final result was that IRMA due to the meandering vessels compared to normal intraretinal vessels in both the ultra-widefield fundus photographs (A, B) and optical coherence tomography angiography images (A).
