Fig. 1

Epigenetic landscape of the MYB locus in mouse and humans. The mouse (a) and human (b) MYB loci are shown with ChIP-Seq tracks of select TFs from published studies in mouse (KLF181, LDB127, GATA1, H3K27ac, H3K4me1, H3K4me312) or human cells (KLF121, GATA1 and H3K27ac19, LDB142). Human ATAC-Seq data are from47. Capture-C82 (mouse) or 4C-Seq83,84,85 data showing long-range interactions throughout the locus from the mouse Myb − 81kb enh, and human MYB − 84kb enh and MYB promoter viewpoints (VP) were performed in MEL cells (mouse) or UT7 cells (human). The BglII cut sites are shown underneath the 4C-Seq tracks (human locus). Position of the distal enhancers is indicated above the ChIP-Seq tracks (distance in kb relative to the transcription start site). The top scoring SNPs associated with HbF levels and clinical erythroid parameters are also shown (human track).
