(a-b) The time evolution of the averaged magnetisation components \(\overline{m_i}\) for the \(\mu\)MAG standard problem \(\#4\)35 using the two methods discussed in the main text. In (a) the curves from two methods are almost indistinguishable for Field 1 and in (b) they are in good qualitative agreement for Field 2. (c-d) The relative error in the damping, for each field, calculated according to the method described in refs.2,28,29. The insets show the distributions of the fluctuations in \(1- \vert \textbf{m}_i \vert\), accumulated throughout each simulation. Both distributions are more or less symmetrical about zero, as discussed in the main text.
