In the personal sacrifice conditions, admiration influenced willingness to fight and die via (1) intensity of sacrifice alone, b = 0.19, 95% CI [0.02, 0.37], (2) identity fusion alone, b = 0.19, 95% CI [0.01, 0.38], and (3) intensity of sacrifices and identity fusion serially, b = 0.21, 95% CI [0.11, 0.33]. In the personal qualities conditions, admiration influenced willingness to fight and die via (1) intensity of sacrifice alone, b = 0.10, 95% CI [0.01, 0.21], (2) identity fusion alone, b = −0.19, 95% CI [−0.35, −0.04], and (3) intensity of sacrifices × and identity fusion serially, b = 0.11, 95% CI [0.05, 0.19].
