Network degree maps derived from ERA5 daily 2m-temperature during March-April-May, capturing synchronous heatwave occurrences with maximum allowed temporal delay of \({\tau }_{\max }=5\) days for the span: a 1960–1989, and b 1990–2019. Higher degree values indicate regions with more frequent synchronous heatwave connections to other grid points in the network.
