Evident improvements in choroidal visualization were observed: previously obscured SDOCT deep structures became clearly visible in the synthetically enhanced SDOCT images. Since the choroidal scleral interface was visible in the synthetically enhanced SDOCT image, a visual comparison with SSOCT choroidal area could be performed, revealing a match between the vascular structures in both modalities.
