Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for acute MI detection according to various input configurations. The ROC curve depicts the performance of the detection system while varying the discrimination threshold between sensitivity and specificity. In our case, the sensitivity, also known as true positive ratio, corresponds to the probability that an ECG is diagnosed as acute MI, conditioned on the fact the original signal was labeled as acute MI. Instead, the specificity, also known as true negative ratio, corresponds to the probability that an ECG is not diagnosed as acute MI, conditioned on the fact that original signal was not labeled as acute MI.
