a UV-Vis spectra. GraDeR43-prepared samples were diluted in buffer B + 0.005% (w/v) GDN. b UV-Vis difference spectra (trimer–monomer) were calculated after normalization at the chlorophyll a peak (678 nm). Differences related to the absorption of carotenoids (orange) and red chlorophylls (red) are indicated by the colored background. c 77 K fluorescence spectra. Samples were diluted in buffer B + 0.03% (w/v) β-DDM. Measurements were carried out at an excitation wavelength of 436 nm with a step size of 1 nm and a bandpass filter of 5 nm.
