In lateral view, PC1 captures mainly facial elongation and both PC1 and PC2 capture aspects of facial depth and nasal retraction. Reconstructions were made by warping a cranium of Naemorhedus goral (AMNH 43033) to extreme PC values. See Supplementary Fig. 4 for a version with species labels.
