Each gene target was designated to each category after in-depth manual literature review (see Supplementary Table 2). The majority of the predicted MPxgb(AD) genes appear to correlate mostly with innate immunity and signal transduction pathways. Transcription regulation, vitamin or cholesterol metabolism, cell cycle, and ER stress are other pathways the predicted MPxgb(AD) genes show functional associations.
