The frequency of 31 methyltransferases was calculated in 7 geographical populations of H. pylori within a collection of 541 genomes. The heatmap is color-coded from blue to red according to the proportion indicated in each cell and is clustered in both axes. Methyltransferases with significant variation between populations are indicated by asterisks (Chi-square p-value, * <0.05, ** <0.01, *** <0.001, ****<0.0001).
