  1. rRT-PCR CT values of influenza A matrix and H5 RNA isolated from dolphin tissues. RNA extracted from brain, spinal cord, lung, liver, kidney, and gastric samples was screened using influenza A virus M- and H5-specific primers and probes to test for the presence or absence of HPAI A(H5N1) virus by rRT-PCR. The CT value of the highest dilution of the controls was determined to be the limit of detection and served as the threshold for determining whether samples were PCR positive or negative. Numbers represent the CT values of selected tissues determined by rRT-PCR.
