The figure has 3 panels illustrating scatter plots of the associations between immunohistochemistry-derived Aβ load (a), total Aβ protein (b), or Aβ38 peptide (c) and tau tangle density. The dots and the regression line in each panel are colored red if the corresponding GPER1 RNA expression level is high (≥90th percentile) or are colored blue if the corresponding GPER1 RNA expression is low (≤10th percentile). The panels include 1198 participants when examining Aβ load, and 1001 and 1003 participants when examining, total Aβ protein, or Aβ38 peptide, respectively.
