Mass corrected metabolism temperature performance curves with 95% confidence interval for (a) Chironomus spp., (b) C. dipterum and (c) S. striolatum were modelled using the Sharpe-Schoolfield model (Eq. 1). Data were collected from between 75 and 164 individuals for each curve (Supplementary Table 2). Note that the patterns in metabolic plasticity are similar to those proposed in Fig. 1a, b are observed here.
