The proposed model illustrates the T cell undergoes chromatin de-condensation with increased accessibility to transcription and replication factories, nuclear envelope disruption, and the release of nuclear DNA into the cytoplasm upon T lymphocyte activation. It further illustrates the impact of metabolic activity in T cell activation, showing that metabolic inhibition leads to reduced activation and limited release of cytosolic DNA.
