Quantitative assessment of cyst progression in Pax8rtTA; TetO-Cre; PKD2fl/fl mice following PKD2 gene knockout. A Kidney to body weight ratio (n = 3–10) and B cystic index (n = 3) in Pax8rtTA; TetO-Cre; PKD2fl/fl at 2, 4, 8, 12 and 16 weeks post-doxycycline treatment. Mean values were evaluated for statistically significant differences with the use of a two-factor ANOVA, and all pairwise comparisons were run with a Bonferroni adjustment. Data are expressed as mean values ± SEM. Distinct lowercase letters denote differences across time points, while asterisks highlight differences between sexes at specific times (P < 0.05).
