Cells (Calu-3, A549, or Huh T7 Lunet RC) were treated with different concentrations of atpenin A5 or phenformin at several timepoints (24 h before infection, 2 h before infection, at the same time or 2 h after infection). They were infected with either icSARS-CoV-2-mNG (MOI 0.3), respiratory syncytial reporter virus expressing GFP (RSV, MOI 0.3), influenza A reporter virus (IAV, MOI 0.3) expressing GFP, or Dengue virus (WT2, MOI 1). Forty-eight hours post-infection, cells were fixed with 2% PFA, stained with Hoechst, and infection rates were measured with a Cytation3 multiplate reader.
