Correction to: Communications Chemistry https://doi.org/10.1038/s42004-025-01559-2, published online 02 June 2025
In the version of this article initially published, there were errors in the last paragraph of the “High-pressure synthesis and characterization” section, where the second to last sentence initially read “They describe how gas guns have been used to shoot flyer plates into samples at speeds up to 7 km/s in order to induce peak stresses on the order of 20–30 GPa”. This has now been corrected to “They describe how guns have been used to shoot flyer plates into samples at speeds up to 1 km/s in order to induce peak stresses on the order of 20–30 GPa” in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
