a Absorption spectrum with Elliott theory fitting. b Photoluminescence (PL) spectrum with line-shape analysis. The red lines through the experimental data (blue symbols, indicating the obtained continuous-wave PL, named PL-CW in the legend) represent the best fit curves as returned by the model reported in Supplementary Note 2. The single PL components are also highlighted for free/localized excitons (EX/EXLOC in the legend, indicated by the light-orange-shadowed areas) and for free carriers (FC in the legend, indicated by the dark-orange-shadowed area). The contribution of the single components to the total PL area results to be 66% (25%) for free (localized) excitons, and less than 9% for free carriers.
