a Experimentally measured blue-drift of dispersive waves (DWs) in a parabolic multimode fiber (MMF) as a result of increasing the input power levels. The blue drifting of DWs arises from the nonlinear phase term (last term in Eq. 7). b Experimentally measured blue-drifting of DWs for a step-index MMF when the input power increases. In both cases, a similar trend is observed. We note that the maximum power level used in these experiments 1.7 MW is well below, the threshold power required at 1.55 µm for catastrophic self-focusing (10 MW) in silica fibers.
