O.D. is the optical density defined by \(-{{{{{\mathrm{lo}}}}}}{{{{{{\mathrm{g}}}}}}}_{10}\left(\frac{{I}_{1}}{{I}_{0}}\right)\), where I0 is the incident optical density and I1 is the transmitted optical denisty.
