The pressure is shown by the left/blue scale, while temperature is on the right/red scale for (a) experiments 1-3 (250 μm liquid layers), and (b) experiments 4–6 (500 μm liquid layers). Peak pressures were 4.7, 5.7, 7.5, 7.5, 10, and 12 GPa, respectively. Error bars were determined from the combination of the standard deviation over 300 ns at peak pressure and the 5% systematic uncertainty diagnosed from experiment-to-experiment.
