The SVD is performed on the fractal matrix \(\log | Z|\) displayed in Fig. 3a. The blue dots represent the singular values given by Eq. (11), while the red solid line represents the best linear fit of the data. The fractal dimension is calculated as one minus the slope of the linear fit, resulting in D = 1.4 where D represents the fractal dimension.
