On going from the trivial disordered phase to larger Δ/Ω, clear peaks are visible in the fidelity (blue, evaluated from Eq. (3) for δ = 0.1 on a 32 × 4 cluster) and energy susceptibilities (orange) that are preserved upon boundary subtraction (between 32 × 4 and 24 × 4 clusters; inset). The second peak at a larger detuning arises from the transition into the (columnar) ordered phase.
