The mean (main) and standard deviation (inset) of the bipartite entanglement entropy of eigenstates, for 1/3 of eigenstates around the density of states peak in each charge sector. The data is further averaged over all possible sectors for system sizes N = 8, 10; 1000 sectors for N = 12, 14, 16; and 250 charge sectors for N = 16. The dashed black lines mark the “critical” values of the coupling strength J. Error bars indicate the standard uncertainty in the average.
