Country administrative boundary data were sourced from the World Bank92, but these maps show values per grid cell. Some disputed areas and countries without UN representation may not be shown on these maps. Maps are projected in the Geographic Coordinate System WGS 1984 and cells are 5-arcmin resolution (∼1,000 ha at the equator). Global rankings of fruits and vegetables according to BP, production and ASR are provided in Supplementary Table 1.1. Mean values of BP per crop per country are provided in Supplementary Table 1.2.
