  1. The first two columns describe the number of linkages actors of that type have within the same region versus with other regions. The last three columns describe network metrics that indicate the degree of connectivity of nodes in that actor class. Average path length is the average shortage path length between two nodes—the shorter the distance, the closer two actors are connected. Diameter indicates the maximum distance between two nodes within an actor group. Weighted degree is the average sum of the weights connected to a node, or a measure of how connected a particular node is.
