Even when overestimating the source variability based on the raw empirical, pass-by-pass measurement data, the potential added uncertainty (brown histogram) is no more than the source quantification error (pink histogram) and has no appreciable effect on the overall inventory uncertainty (black histogram and indicated 95% confidence limits).
