The blue shading shows the time-evolving uncertainty (percentiles) around the median (black line) from an observationally calibrated ice sheet model27 ensemble using a range of model parameters and +1.5 °C warming scenario. The red dashed line is from the same ice sheet model27 with model parameters representing the median values used in the +1.5 °C ensemble and including MICI (see Box 1), but with no additional warming beyond 2020. The black-dashed line uses the same model27 and 2020 climate scenario shown in red, but without MICI.
